February - Bud, Not Buddy
Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis is the 2000 Newberry Award book and the 2000 Coretta Scott King Award book. Curtis’ book tells the story of ten-year-old Bud Caldwell, an orphan living through the Great Depression in Flint, Michigan. Bud, Not Buddy is also February’s book for the First Friday Book Club at the Huntsville Public Library. The Book Club will meet at 1 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2018 to discuss this fascinating story of family, forgiveness, and perseverance.
